Fjords and glaciers 

Norway is a long, thin country in northern Europe that is known for its fjords, glaciers, fishing villages and huge pine forests. 

Norway is a big and very mountainous country with only 4.5 million inhabitants. The landscape is mainly dominated by huge forests. The climate is mild on the coast, and the best time to visit is between May and September. It can be bitterly cold in the interior during the winter.

The charms of Norway include uplands alternating with glaciers, rivers and steep-sided fjords. Sognefjord is certainly worth a visit. This king of fjords actually extends inland for 200 kilometres. In addition to the Norwegian countryside, you can also sample its culture and history. The two best places to do so are Oslo and Bergen, the two biggest cities in Norway.
