With delicious wine, long walks and peaceful relaxation by the banks of the Danube, Hungary, and especially its magnificent capital, Budapest, are top attractions.

Visitors can walk alongside lakes and through woods and Hungarian pusztas. Hungary is well known for its pusztas, which are wide, thinly populated steppes. Two important rivers, the Danube and the Tisza, flow through Hungary. The Danube is a river with quite a number of important cultural towns situated on its banks. However, Hungarians prefer the Tisza, a peaceful river that flows past small villages and wide steppes. It is full of fish and its banks therefore form an ideal habitat for a large number of birds and other animals.
